(Purleased be warned this is a longer than usual post, so pull up a comfy chair and a treat before starting to read – you have been warned)
As many of you will have heard through the grape vine the news about MJ but typist and I wanted to make sure that she was all settled before we made the new public (which she now is) so everybody celebrate and happy dance MJ has found her forever home!!! *pauses for appaws*
MJ is now Mimi and is very much loved by her new mum Helen and her big brother Jasper, known as Jazz by his furiends.
So let me tell you about her new family…
Helen is by her own admission too much of a cat person (is there such a thing) and was moved to tears by all the lovely things that people had said about Mimi in blogville, yes I sent her all your lovely links. She was so super excited to be welcoming Mimi into her forever family that typist and her did a countdown of sleeps until Mimi would join her family.
Jazz is Mimi’s new big brother, he’s 10 years old and can be a bit of a flirt, in fact Mimi’s blanket was given to him to smell before Mimi came home, and he didn’t move off it for a fair few days. Jazz is a bit of a character and his favourite game is to sit on his indoor litter tray and dive out when the human is least expecting it scaring them near to death – sounds like my kinda guy!
Mimi herself quickly settled in, although the first meeting didn’t go quite as plan when Jazz let himself into Mimi’s room, giving Helen a panic attack, but while Mimi stood and growled (yes you read that right growled) at Jazz he headed straight for her bowl of Harringtons cat food which was on the floor – what can I tell you the guy has got taste! Mimi is officially home and has been given the loveliest pink collar with a bell, however the bell confused her slightly and she kept thinking she was being followed, so the collar is now without bell but I still think it looks fab!
The lovely gifts that Mollie and Alfie put together are winging their way to Mimi and Jazz as we speak (the lovely Savvy and another individual donated some additional money so that Jazz wouldn’t be left out)
Having spoken to Helen, the money for Mimi’s insulin that you donated has been given to the blue cross as they will continue to help with Mimi’s medical bills.
However blogville our hunt for forever homes does not stop there, and so I would like to paw forward all the kind thoughts, words, and actions that helped Mimi find her forever home and bring to your attention not one but two lovely kittens who are very much in need of their forever home.
Rachel and Ray Charles are two special needs kittens, just like Mimi.
They both are slightly cross eyed due to apparent Siamese genes AND they were born with entropion condition, which has to do with an abnormal eyelid. Both Rachel and Ray Charles have had surgery to correct the eyelid problems, but this has resulted in some damage to their vision. Rachel’s is relatively minor but ray Charles has limited sight. That aside they are both playful, healthy kittens who love each other to bits and are now just waiting for their forever home.
They are looking for a home in USA and more information can be found by chin wagging with the delectable Savannah or visiting their foster mum’s blog.
So come on blogville, the search begins again! Spread the word!!
Basil we thank you so very much for pawing Rachel & Ray forward have you seen their Tour page?

I hadn’t heard that is brilliant news!!! I am so pleased!!!!!
Basil, did you hear the latest about Ray & Rachel? Mom&DadKatt are foster fails – they are now a part of our family! We adopted them about three weeks and and they are fitting in nicely. I’m however having to teach Princess Rachel that she CANNOT sleep in Pink Bed, nor can she steal my gooshy food.
Purrs!

I saw they had a home – I am so so pleased!!!! Well done on the fail I am so pleased for you!! A wise person once said something along the lines of no one being a foster failure, another animal (or two) have been saved, they have their forever home and there is now space in a rescue for two more. I thought that was pretty fab!!
